Golf ball cover compositions comprise a blend of hard ionomeric resins, preferably acrylic acid based ionomers, and acrylic acid based soft ionomers. The hard ionomer is preferably a sodium or zinc salt of ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer, has a hardness greater than 50 on the Shore D scale, and has a flexural modulus of 15,000-70,000 psi. The soft ionomer is preferably a sodium or zinc salt of an ethylene-methacrylic acid-butyl acrylate terpolymer, and has a Shore D hardness of 20-40 and a flexural modulus of 2,000-10,000 psi.
