The present invention relates to a technique for estimating the position of a terminal using a positioning reference signal. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and a device for controlling the transmission cycle or transmission power of a positioning reference signal to accurately measure the position of a terminal. Particularly, the method for estimating the position of a terminal according to the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving a positioning reference signal from a serving cell and each of one or more adjacent cells; generating reference signal time difference (RSTD) information based on the receiving time information of the positioning reference signal; and estimating the position of a terminal based on the RSTD information. |
