PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning holding mechanism capable of surely and easily performing positioning of a component and holding of the position without the usage of a detection function requiring image processing, and an image forming device assembled using the positioning holding mechanism.SOLUTION: A positioning holding mechanism includes a first sheet metal component 1A having a hole 101, and a second sheet metal component 1B having a protrusion 201, and positioning of the first sheet metal component 1A and the second sheet metal component 1B and holding of the position is performed by inserting the protrusion 201 into the hole 101. A protrusion 102 protruded from an edge of the hole 101 to the inner part is formed on the first sheet metal component 1A, and a fitting hole 205 having a size capable of being fitted to the protrusion 102 of the first sheet metal component 1A is formed on the protrusion 201 of the second sheet metal component 201. The protrusion 201 is inserted into the hole 101, and the protrusion 201 is led to an engagement state with respect to the hole 201 along a contour 205 of the hole, and the protrusion 102 is fitted to the fitting hole 205 to be locked, and thereby, the first sheet metal component 1A and the second sheet metal component 1B are held in the prescribed position. |
