The invention relates to a condenser dryer (1) comprising a drying chamber (3) for laundry articles to be dried; a controller (10); a drive motor (29); a process air channel (2), in which a process air fan (6) for conveying the process air and a heater (4) for heating the process air are arranged; an air/air heat exchanger (5) with a cooling air channel (15), in which a cooling air fan (16) and a throttle valve (13) are arranged; and an actuator system (12). The actuator system (12) includes a hydraulic cylinder (12a), a stroke piston (12b), and a drive medium (2c), and the actuator system (12) is connected to the throttle valve (13) in a force-fitting manner via the stroke piston (12b) and is in thermal contact with the process air channel (2) such that the throttle valve (13) can be adjusted on the basis of the temperature T of the process air. The invention also relates to a method for operating said condenser dryer (1).
