PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus which enables a user to watch images in a time sequence and to grasp the important images out of the images at a glance. SOLUTION: The image display apparatus of this invention is equipped with a display unit (30), a control unit (11), and a display control unit (15). The control unit (11) determines the display size of each of n images (n is an integer of 2 or above) on the basis of indexes, such as importance, defined for each of the n images and dispose the n images in the determined size in a screen in a time sequence according to a screen display indication.
