PURPOSE: A repeater for embedding a spectrum analyzer and a fading compensation equalizer in a satellite communication system is provided to monitor a spurious feature including an IMD(Intermodulation Distortion) component shown by non-linearity through a power amplifier, and to control the spurious feature, thereby minimizing the spurious feature. CONSTITUTION: A fading compensation equalizer(111) compensates for/equalizes a distorted waveform of a received satellite communication signal. A spectrum analyzer(124) outputs waveform data corresponding to power of the satellite communication signal, and extracts a spurious component from the waveform data. A spurious remover(126) controls the extracted spurious component, so that the controlled component can re-enter a power amplifier(122). A waveform data collector(130) collects the waveform data. A waveform data transmitter(140) transmits the waveform data to a user terminal(170).
