<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by reducing the data length of data to be transmitted and received among devices, by eliminating a command code in a serial interface and raise the data transfer rate, and reducing the circuit scale or the memory size. <P>SOLUTION: An RFID module 32 transmits, upon the receipt of data from a reader/writer 11, an interruption signal to a host CPU 34 via an IRQ line 44. The host CPU 34 supplies, upon the receipt of the interrupt signal, a clock signal via a CLK line 41. The RFID module 32 transmits data, showing the data length on the clock signal via a DATA line 42. The host CPU 34 terminates processings related to the receipt of data, when the data length of the data reaches the data length shown by the received data.
