Key for a lock cylinder

The key has a control unit (14) to control a locking pin arranged in a lock cylinder. The control unit together with a side surface (11) of a shaft limits an undercut (15) for moving the pin, where the undercut is accessible from a free end of the shaft and is tapered from the free end of the shaft using a ramp (25). The control unit is connected with the shaft in a fixed manner. The control unit is fastened to a groove (12) that is arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis of the shaft.
