PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet transport device for a recording device equipped with an enhanced sheet transporting performance and capable of keeping the pressing force of each pinch roller properly without damaging or contaminating sheets. SOLUTION: The sheet transport device is equipped with a plurality of pinch rollers to press drive roller, wherein each pinch roller is structured so that its outside diameter at one end is made smaller than that of the other end as going nearer the pressing position of the pinch roller in compliance with deflection relative to the drive roller.
