PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device capable of reducing a time needed until an oscillation signal reaches a stable state, as compared with the case where an oscillation of a crystal oscillator is induced by a pulse signal of approximately one clock, and an oscillation method of a semiconductor device.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device includes: an inverting amplifier 16 connected in parallel with a crystal oscillator Qz; a pull-up P-type transistor p0 connected to an input terminal of the inverting amplifier 16; a pull-down N-type transistor n0 connected to the input terminal of the inverting amplifier 16; and a supply section 22 supplying a control signal to the P-type transistor p0 and the N-type transistor n0, the control signal controlling the P-type transistor p0 and the N-type transistor n0 so that the P-type transistor p0 and the N-type transistor n0 are alternately turned on during a predetermined period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
