摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composite material capable of omitting a reimpregnation.recarbonization process to simplify a production process and capable of improving the physical properties of the composite material by adding the powder of a ceramic as an oxidation inhibitor to a thermosetting resin and subsequently impregnating carbon fibers with the obtained resin composition. SOLUTION: This carbon/carbon composite material is obtained by adding the powder of a ceramic, such as MoSi2, TiSi2, SiC, Si3N4, SiGe or TiC as an oxidation inhibitor to a thermosetting resin, preferably a phenolic resin, in an amount of 2-20 wt.% based on the resin, impregnating carbon fibers with the obtained thermosetting resin composition, laminating the obtained prepregs, curing the obtained laminate, and subsequently carbonizing the obtained green body composite material. For obtaining a carbon/carbon composite material having a high density, while reimpregnation-recarbonization processes are repeated several times by conventional methods, the addition of the ceramic-based oxidation inhibitor by the present method can carry out the enhancement of the density at a temperature above a softness- brittleness conversion temperature, thereby enabling the omission of a density-enhancing process and the reduction of a production cost.
