PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical beam scanning device capable of accurately reading images and writing images with high reproducibility, an image reading device capable of accurately reading images by the optical beam scanning device installed therein, and an image recording device capable of writing images with high reproducibility. SOLUTION: This optical beam scanning device comprises a light source for emitting light beam, a light beam scanning part for scanning the light beam emitted from the light source, and a light guide member extending in the scanning direction of the light beam and having divergence areas and transmission areas alternately formed on the surface opposed to the entrance face. The light guide member is so formed that the pitches of the predetermined boundary positions of the divergence areas and the transmission areas are smaller according to an increase in the angle of incidence of the incident light beam.
