PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify whether the other vehicle located in the vicinity of an own vehicle is a vehicle which has transmitted which vehicle information.SOLUTION: An own vehicle A receives vehicle transmission information from the other vehicles. Among many pieces of received vehicle transmission information, on the basis of GPS measurement information included in them, a moving body identification device extracts only pieces of vehicle transmission information of neighboring vehicles existing in a predetermined distance range around a current location of the vehicle A. Further, the device collates captured images taken by an on-vehicle camera 17 of the own vehicle A with external images of the other vehicles as pieces of vehicle identification information included in the received pieces of vehicle transmission information. Thus, from among the pieces of extracted vehicle transmission information of the neighboring vehicles, the device identifies respective pieces of vehicle transmission information of neighboring vehicles B, C and D which especially have direct relevance to travel environment of the vehicle A and locate in relative positions of a front, a rear and a diagonally right rear of the vehicle A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
