PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor whose performance, quality, yield or the like are improved by protecting a capacitor from stresses due to an element-positioning block. SOLUTION: One end 3a of a forked part provided on a cathode lead terminal 3 is connected to an electrode of a capacitor 1 along the bottom surface 1a of the capacitor 1, while the other end 3b thereof is connected to an electrode of the capacitor 1 which is made into a linear form to be erected along the side surface 1b of the capacitor 1. The other end 3b, having a linear shape supports element-positioning blocks 4a and 4b which pinch the capacitor 1 and cathode lead terminal 3 from above and below for positioning, and it protects the capacitor 1 from stresses due to the blocks 4a and 4b.
