PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear moving artificial muscle actuator capable of realizing extension operation corresponding to a work purpose. SOLUTION: This linear moving artificial muscle actuator converts bending motion into linear motion by combining an IPMC (ionic polymer-metal composite) membrane constituting the actuator, to enhance capacity as the actuator, and at the same time, realizes such operation as to change the bending response of the IPMC membrane according to the work purpose by adaptively adjusting (doping) counter ion.
