<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a proper density correction when the density correction is performed on image data by a color patch formed on a plurality of sheets of paper. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device 1 forms the color patch on a plurality of sheets of paper and performs the density correction on image data included in job data based on the formed color patch. The image forming device 1 comprises a paper feed tray for feeding sheets of paper and a CPU 11 which detects the number of residual sheets of paper used for executing an image forming processing in the paper feeding tray and determines whether the detected number of the residual sheets of paper is equal to or less than the number of sheets of paper necessary for forming the color patch or not. When the number of the residual sheets of paper is determined to be equal to or less than the number of sheets of paper necessary for forming the color patch, the CPU 11 does not form the color patch on the sheet of paper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
