The present invention relates to a protective device for a system for closing a leatherwork item, said closure system being provided with a metal plate attached to a part of the leatherwork item. The protective device comprises a holder and a cover that can be assembled with the holder. The holder comprises retaining means arranged so as to partially and reversibly secure the holder to the metal plate. The cover comprises a locking means arranged so as to engage with the holder and the metal plate in order to lock the holder on the metal plate when the cover is assembled with the holder. The device also comprises means for locking the cover that are intended to keep the cover assembled with the holder. |
