CAR NAVIGATION SYSTEM, UPGRADE TERMINAL, UPGRADE SYSTEM AND A CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

A terminal, a system and a method for upgrading a car navigation system are provided to upgrade the navigation system in a simplified scheme by allowing an upgrade terminal to transmit download information to the car navigation system. A system for upgrading a car navigation system comprises a database(620) and an upgrade server(610). Upgrade information and a telephone number of a mobile phone are stored in the database. The upgrade server transmits message of requesting upgrade to the telephone number, and downloads the upgrade information into an upgrade terminal connected in response to the message. The data base includes an information storage unit(621) and a member data base(622). The upgrade server includes a short message service unit(611) and a download control unit(612).
