PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a confectionery having an extended fluid fill release profile and a confectionery having a reduced fat or sugar content profile, and to provide methods of producing the confectioneries.SOLUTION: A confectionery product comprising an extruded body portion is provided, the body portion has a plurality of capillaries disposed therein, the body portion comprises a first sensation agent and a second agent that is different from the first sensation agent and is located in separate and discrete regions of product and the body portion is configured to provide sequential release profile, one or more of the capillaries is at least partially filled with a fill material comprising an active and/or reactive component that is volatile at a temperature of 35°C or higher, and the extruded body portion is essentially free of the volatile active and/or reactive component.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
