<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalytic converter cover capable of contributing improvement of NVH performance of a vehicle by effectively shielding and absorbing noise and vibration emitted from a catalytic converter. <P>SOLUTION: The catalytic converter cover consists of an upper cover and a lower cover having an arc-shaped cross-section that extends along in a flow direction of exhaust gas passing through the catalytic converter and surrounding a catalytic converter. The upper cover and the lower cover are formed by a plurality of overlapping plates with different thicknesses. The upper cover and the lower cover are oppositely arranged with having the catalytic converter at a center. Each side end part of the upper cover and the lower cover is overlapped and fixed on one of a flow-in side or a flow-out side of exhaust gas of the catalyst converter, and each center part of the upper cover and the lower cover is fixed on another. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
