METHOD FOR TREATING MELANOMA WITH METASTASES IN REGIONAL LYMPH NODES

A method for treating melanoma with metastases in the regional lymph nodes comprises the standard surgical treatment (regional lymphodissection and extensive dissection of the primary tumor) supplemented with high dose α-2b-interferon administered subcutaneously at a dose of 9 million units prior to surgery (Day 1-22 of the treatment course) and 3 million units thrice a week following surgery for 12 months.
