PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exfoliation guide plate which can smoothly guide a recording medium after exfoliation, an exfoliation device utilizing the exfoliation guide plate, a fixing device and an image forming apparatus utilizing these. SOLUTION: The exfoliation guide plate 7 is arranged in a revolving direction A of the rotary body 1 so that its one side is in close vicinity of a surface of the rotary body 1 in order to exfoliate the recording medium P of a sheet shape which is carried on a surface of the revolving rotary body 1 from the rotary body 1 and to guide the conveyance. In the guide plate 7 which guides the exfoliated recording medium P so as to slide on a recording medium guiding surface F1 of a rear surface side of a surface facing the surface of the rotary body 1, the recording medium guiding surface F1 has a flat surface section with which the recording medium P comes into contact at least from one side near the surface of the rotary body 1 to prescribed length in a conveyance direction C of the recording medium P and has a depression part following the flat surface section in the conveyance direction C of the recording medium P.
