METHOD FOR NAVIGATING ON A LIST OF ITEMS WITH NOISE EMISSION AND AN ASSOCIATED DEVICE

The invention relates to a method for navigating on a list of items which is displayed on a screen and an item is at least graphically highlighted. Navigation commands make it possible to highlight another item for the selection thereof. A variable attribute value is calculated for one or several predetermined criteria. When a new item is selected, a noise is emitted in the form of a particular value function. According to an improvement, the displayed items identify audio and/or video documents stored in a reproducing device memory and the particular value of each document depends on the recording quality thereof. According to another improvement, the displayed items identify directories containing the audio and/or video documents and the particular value depends on the number of documents in each directory. A device provided with a user's interface for carrying out said method is also disclosed.
