PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding apparatus which can improve a releasing property of a glass molded product from a mold, and to provide a glass lens. SOLUTION: The apparatus has an upper mold 3, a lower mold and a barrel mold, and molds a glass molded product having a main body part and a flange part by heating and pressing a spherical glass material. The lower face of the upper mold 3 has a main body part upper portion-molding face 3a for molding an upper face of the main body part, and a flange part upper portion-molding face 3b for molding an upper face of the flange part. The flange part upper portion-molding face 3b comprises a plurality of air grooves 3c each having a V-shaped cross section. Each of the upper air grooves 3c is randomly formed, has a depth in the range of 5-10μm, and is formed so as to reach the outer peripheral edge from an inner side of a central part in the radial direction of the flange part upper portion-molding face 3b.
