PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for distributing an image suppressing the usage of a network band and reducing the data-processing load of receiving nodes, when the resolutions required for the receiving nodes differ, in a network having the reception nodes using image data. SOLUTION: Encoded piece of data is obtained through arithmetic operations, based on the pixel data of pixels contained in image regions formed by dividing an original image, a plurality of images consisting of the set of the encoded data are prepared and the plurality of images are distributed. Upon receiving the images, the receiving node combines the encoded data with them, in response to the resolutions of the required images and prepares the images to be used.
