an image sensor that includes a plurality of photoelectric conversion portions that correspond to each of a plurality of microlenses, and is configured to perform photoelectric conversion on a light flux that enters via an imaging optical system including an image stabilization optical system; a refocus unit configured to perform refocus processing based on output from the image sensor; and a determination unit configured to, based on a shake signal from a shake detection unit, determine a drive amount of the image stabilization optical system for correcting the shake, within a range in which variation in defocus amounts at positions of the image sensor, which occurs due to the image stabilization optical system being driven, falls within a range in which a defocus amount is movable by the refocus unit, wherein the image stabilization optical system is driven based on the set drive amount. |
