<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which, because of the fact that air for selectively oxidizing carbon monoxide contained in reformed gas as suitable for removing it exceeds a design value, can restrict reduction in power generation efficiency and early deterioration of a catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell 20 which includes a fuel electrode 20a and an oxygen electrode 20b; a CO remover 14 which selectively oxidizes carbon monoxide to remove it from reformed gas F derived by reforming fuel gas F; a first air supply passage L1 which supplies oxygen-containing air A to the CO remover 14; and a second air supply passage L2 which supplies the air A to reformed gas led from the CO remover 14 to the fuel electrode 20a of the fuel cell 20. Air supply means 31 for supplying the air A is provided one for both the first air supply passage L1 and the second air supply passage L2, while an overflow rate prevention mechanism 35 for limiting the air A flowing in the passage to below a prescribed flow rate is provided independently, one for the first air supply passage L1 and another for the second air supply passage L2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
