PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder resin for toner and a toner satisfactory in low temperature fixability and offset resistance and also excellent in developing durability. SOLUTION: The binder resin (C) for toner contains a resin composition obtained by the reaction of a glycidyl group-containing vinyl resin (A) having a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 to 100,000 and an epoxy value of 0.002 Eq/100 g to 0.005 Eq/100 g, and a carboxyl group-containing vinyl resin (B) having an acid value of 1 to 30 mgKOH/g, with a crosslinked reaction rate of 5 to 75%.
