The present invention relates to a device and method for controlling auto cruise speed of an automobile, and the purpose of the present invention is to provide the device for controlling auto cruise speed of an automobile, which improves auto cruise control performance in a zone where target vehicle speed is changed to a ramp form, and speed follow-up performance and control responsiveness with respect to the target vehicle speed, and the method therefor. In order to achieve this purpose, the method for controlling auto cruise speed of an automobile, comprises: a step of determining feedback torque for correcting a speed error from target vehicle speed set by a driver and the speed error of current vehicle speed that is feedback speed detected by a vehicle speed sensor; steps of determining driving resistance in accordance with the target speed by executing the target vehicle speed as input, and determining first feed forward torque in accordance with the determined driving resistance; a step of determining second forward torque considering vehicle inertia in accordance with a change in the target vehicle speed by executing the target vehicle speed as input; and a step of outputting instructions for generating wheel request torque corrected by adding the first feedback forward torque and the second feedback forward torque to the feedback torque. |
