<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte solution secondary battery composed of a cathode, an anode, nonaqueous electrolyte solution, and a current interruption mechanism operating by the increase of internal pressure inside the battery, with excellent charge/discharge characteristics, having a current interruption mechanism not causing malfunction even if a battery is left as it is for a constant period under high-temperature condition. <P>SOLUTION: The cathode consists of lithium-containing transition metal oxide expressed in formula: Li<SB>a</SB>(Co<SB>1-x-y</SB>Mg<SB>x</SB>M<SB>y</SB>)<SB>b</SB>O<SB>c</SB>(where, M is at least a kind selected from a group consisting of Mn, Ni, Y, Yb, Ca, Al, Ti, Cu, Zn, Sr, and Ba, satisfying:0≤a≤1.05, 0.005≤x≤0.15, 0≤y≤0.25, 0.85≤b≤1.1, 1.8≤c≤2.1), the anode consists of a carbon material, and the nonaqueous electrolyte solution consists of (A) a nonaqueous solvent containing cyclic carboxylate and a solute dissolved in the nonaqueous solvent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
