PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of selecting a destination easily by displaying destination data, even if the same address is registered by a plurality of registration names, when the destination data of address book is acquired from the portable terminal device of each user, and registered in a common address book.SOLUTION: Destination data including a registration name and an address is acquired from the portable terminal device 2 of each user logged in the own device, and to which user specific information indicating the user is added before being registered in a shared address book as a shared data. When setting a transmission destination based on the operation of a user thus logged-in, at least a registration name registered in the shared address book is displayed in display means 171.
