PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic display that can improve luminance and perform gradation expression, and a manufacturing method of the same.SOLUTION: A display comprises: electrophoretic particles 32; and a porous layer 33 that is formed in a fibrous structure and colored in a plurality of colors. The electrophoretic particles include a plurality of types of particles having different light reflection characteristics from each other; the plurality of types of particles are each charged to have different charges from each other.
