A slide thermostat assembling method capable of improving the work efficiency of a slide thermostat C-shaped stopper insert step, assuring a safe work, and improving efficiency of an inspection step, thereby improving the inspection accuracy. The method comprises a wax case step (S1) for putting wax (112) into a wax case (111), a case guide assembly step for putting a piston into a guide block (108), an element assembly step (S3) for fixing the wax case (111) and the guide block (108) so as to serve as an element (110), a C-shaped stopper mounting step (S4) for inserting the element (110) into a valve main body (101) and mounting a spring (105) and a C-shaped stopper (115), thereby completing a thermostat (100), and an inspection step (S5) for automatically inspecting the completed thermostat to separate good products from defective products.
