PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method employing an extended boundary lookup table. SOLUTION: A table of data elements in each of N addressable locations is first stored, with the value stored in the Nth location replicated in a terminus data element storage location. Address data representative of address locations in the table is then received and used to retrieve a first data point and a second data point, where the first data point and the second data point are located in consecutive addresses in the table. The data points are then communicated to an interpolator.
