PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide functions suitable for users through simple steps without complicating a device regarding a multi-function printer, in particular, equipment for domestic use. SOLUTION: A multi-function printer includes: a user setting information registering means for registering user setting information in combination with user identification information; a user authenticating means for authenticating a user by collating input information of the user who uses the multi-function printer, with the user identification information registered by the user setting information registering means while using fingerprint information; and a user authentication result reflecting means for varying an operational state of the multi-function printer so as to be reflected with the user setting information based on an authentication result of the user authenticating means.
