PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent useless engine start of a hybrid vehicle.SOLUTION: An engine start control device of a hybrid vehicle (vehicle) 1 which has a first motor generator 12 and an engine 10 as power sources comprises: a requested output calculation section 32 which calculates requested output of the vehicle 1 in accordance with a pressing amount of an accelerator pedal; and an engine start drive control section 34 which starts timing from when the requested output exceeds a predetermined first threshold value while the engine 10 is stopped and starts the engine 10 after timing a predetermined period. |
