PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety protector detection system for an elevator, capable of preventing a maintenance worker from forgetting to wear safety protectors which the maintenance worker should primarily wear on a body.SOLUTION: A safety protector detection system for an elevator includes: a car top station 2 which is provided on the top of an elevator car 1 and operates the elevator in an inspection operation mode during maintenance inspection work; a car top safety switch 3 which is provided on the car top station and is operated by a maintenance worker upon the start of inspection work; and a tag detector 4 provided on the top of the car. The tag detector is activated when the car top safety switch on the car top station is switched to a manual operation mode, and reads IC tag information 6a and 7a added to safety protectors 6 and 7 which a maintenance worker 5 should wear on a body. Thereby, when there is all of the IC tag information of the safety protectors, the manual operation on the top of the elevator car is permitted, and when part of the IC tag information of the safety protectors is missing, the manual operation on the top of the elevator car is prohibited. |
