PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate whether a process cartridge, etc., are loaded on a device main body or not without additional parts with connectors provided with electronic devices, for example, ICs such as EEPROM and so forth and which are of inexpensive and small in size by transmitting signals of short- circuited contact terminals via second connectors. SOLUTION: The connector (first connector) 196 of a photosensitive drum cartridge side (CRG side) is made so that one side is made to be connector engagement plane and other side is made to be an IC socket shape and is attached to a photosensitive drum cartridge in a state in which a photosensitive memory, that is, an EEPROM 207 is inserted into the socket to fitted in a photosensitive cartridge 199. Then, the connector is engaged with the main body side connector (second connector) 195 attached to a printer main body and a signal is transmitted to the CPU 14 of a signal processing part 4. The cartridge side connector 196 has contacts (contact terminals) of the connector in its inside to be a constitution taking a contact with the IC 207. Then, the signal of short-circuited contact terminals is transmitted to the CPU 14 via the second connector 195. |
