PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging material for a battery in which no corrugated shape remains at an end portion after molding and occurrence of sealing failure can be effectively suppressed.SOLUTION: In a packaging material 10 for a battery including at least a base layer, a metal layer and a sealant layer which are successively laminated in this order, the thickness of the metal layer is 30 μm or less, and the end portion in the width direction x has a corrugated shape along a longitudinal direction y. In the repetition of mountain portions and valley portions of the corrugated shape of the end portion, the ratio of the length a of a line connecting the apexes P1 and P2 of two consecutive valleys and the shortest distance b at which the vertex q of a mount portion located between the two consecutive valleys is connected to the above line satisfies b/a≤2.0.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
