PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor which enables a heating/cooling of a liquid sample rapidly and precisely, and further enables a confirmation of the liquid sample in a vessel from without easily. SOLUTION: An outer surface of a transparent and colorless reaction vessel 13 is coated with a transparent and colorless film heater 12, a stirrer 15 and a temperature sensor 16, and a refrigerant pipeline 17 where a refrigerant for cooling the liquid sample circulates are provided on a cap 14 fitted detachably into an upper opening of the reaction vessel, and the reaction vessel mounting the cap is put in a chamber 18 having a heat insulating structure, and having a transparent and colorless portion. A fan 19 spraying open air to the reaction vessel is provided on a side wall of the chamber. Further, a control apparatus 20 controlling an energization to the film heater, a supply of the refrigerant to the refrigerant pipeline, and a driving of the fan based on a measured temperature of the temperature sensor and a previously set temperature of the liquid sample is provided.
