The device (1) has a splicing unit (14) that is arranged with a set of splicing segments (15). Each of the splicing segments is arranged with splicing guiding segments (16) for fixing an edge. The splicing segments are pivotable with regard to each other. A set of actuating elements i.e. servo motor, is arranged for changing position of the splicing segments with regard to each other. Two neighboring splicing segments are swingable around common pivotal axes. A sensor system is arranged in the device. An independent claim is also included for a method for overlapping splicing of cord tape. |
