PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IM service causing less problem from the standpoint of privacy. SOLUTION: A server apparatus 200 is provided with a client group data storage section 540 and a group image quality data storage section 550. A control section 510 of the server apparatus 200 references the client group data storage section 540 and the group image quality data storage section 550, converts an image received from a client apparatus into an image with image quality cross-referenced with a group to which the other client apparatus of a distribution destination belongs, and distributes the converted image to the other client apparatus.
