In a radio communication system including a base station apparatus and a mobile station apparatus, the base station apparatus transmits a radio resource control signal including information indicating a number of times of transmission of the reference signal for channel estimation to the mobile station apparatus, and transmits a physical downlink control channel including information indicating transmission of the reference signal to the mobile station apparatus, and the mobile station apparatus transmits the reference signal to the base station apparatus until a number of times of transmission of the reference signal reaches the number of times of transmission, according to information indicating the number of times of transmission, which is included in the radio resource control signal, when the information indicating transmission of the reference signal is included in the physical downlink control channel.

1. A mobile station apparatus comprising:
a receiving circuitry configured to:
receive a radio resource control signal including first information concerning a plurality of parameters of a sounding reference signal, one of the plurality of parameters being used for indicating whether multiple antennas are used for transmission of a plurality of sounding reference signals, another of the plurality of parameters being used for selecting an antenna by the mobile station apparatus, andreceive a radio resource control signal including second information indicating whether an antenna selection is used for transmission of a sounding reference signal; and a transmitting circuitry configured to:
transmit, based on the one of the plurality of the parameters, the plurality of sounding reference signals using the multiple antennas in a subframe, andtransmit, based on the second information, the sounding reference signal using an antenna in a subframe, the antenna being selected by the mobile station apparatus.
