The invention relates to a device for monitoring at least one operating variable of a wheel set bearing (1), in particular for rail vehicles, which comprises at least one rotating bearing ring (7) and a stationary wheel set bearing housing (4). In order to reliably monitor and transmit at least one operating variable of the co-rotating wheel bearing part of a wheel set bearing with little outlay and without the vehicle's power supply requiring maintenance, the following are provided: a sensor (12), which is arranged directly on the rotating bearing ring (7), a transmitting unit (14), which is arranged in a co-rotating manner with the bearing ring (7) and which transmits the measured values (20) delivered by the sensor (12) wirelessly to a stationary receiving device (25, 29), and a power supply unit comprising a first co-rotating (15) and a second cooperating generator element (18) arranged on the wheel bearing housing, said unit supplying the sensor (12) and the transmitting unit (14) with power. |
