PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlight control device for suppressing unnatural feeling given to a driver of an own vehicle by hunting due to reflector light, while preventing preceding vehicle and on-coming vehicle from being dazzled, based on video images obtained from a camera. SOLUTION: The position of a light spot in the image imaged by the camera is detected, and the headlight is controlled to perform irradiation with a pattern to reduce light quantity in a prescribed region above the detected light spot. Irradiation light quantity of the whole of an irradiation region of the headlight therefore is not changed, even if hunting occurs due to the reflector light. Only the irradiation light quantity for a partial region above the reflector is changed, and thereby unnatural feeling given to the driver can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
