摘要 <p>Provided is a measurement method for determining the particle diameter of a particle group dispersed movably in a medium. In this method, a spatially regular electric field is applied to the particle group, so that the particles are migrated to generate a diffraction grating by the density distribution of particle groups, and the diffraction light intensity by the diffraction grating is measured in the disappearance procedure of the diffraction grating due to the application stop or modulation of the electric field. The method employs the square root or natural logarithm of the measured value of the diffraction light intensity for the analyses, so that the dispersion of particle sizes can be evaluated under a high convergence by using the least square method, even in case the diameters of the particles disperse or even for the measured particles are mixed to have different diameters.</p>
