PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial kidney having high performance, good extraction ratio of oxidized LDL, and excellent prevention of endotoxin inflow. SOLUTION: This hollow fiber membrane-type artificial kidney is characterized in that it has 15-100 mV of zeta electric potential of the surface in the hollow fiber membrane, 30 ueq/g or less of total charge amount of the whole membrane, and 30 ml/min or more ofβ<SB>2</SB>-microglobulin clearance.
