PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly remove a chipping including an end edge of a steel plate M from on a base. SOLUTION: This cutting device has; the bases 1a, 42a on which the belt type steel plate M is placed; cutting mechanisms 3, 4 to cut the steel plate M; an upper arm part 51; a front arm part 52; an elbow part 53 constituted as one end of the upper arm part 51 and an end of the front arm part 52 are connected to each other free to revolve; an elastic body 54 to energize the front arm part 52 in a direction where the elbow part 53 extends against the upper arm part 51; a revolution regulating member 55 to regulate revolution of the front arm part 52 against the upper arm part 51 that an angle of a corner made by the upper arm part 51 ad the front arm part 52 takes a value in a prescribed range; a driving shaft 6 extended in the width direction of the steel plate M and on which the upper arm part 51 is fixed and; a driving mechanism 7 to revolve the driving shaft 6 around the axis, and it is furnished with an end edge removing mechanism to push out the chipping including the end edge of the steel plate M remaining on the bases by moving a head end 52b of the front arm part 52 by making it pressure contact with the bases 1a, 42a by energization of the elastic body 54.
