A electronic cigarette vaporiser that includes a mechanical valve (81) that is (i) pushed up from its seat (82) to enable automatic filling of the vaporiser with e-liquid from a fluid transfer mechanism (83) and (ii) returns to seal against its seat (82) at other times when the vaporiser is being vaped or inhaled from (e.g. when filling is complete). There may be a nozzle or stem from an e-liquid filling device that is inserted into the vaporiser to push the valve open and fill the vaporiser. This nozzle or stem may engage with a plurality of duckbill valves to remove any excess droplets of e-liquid so they are not ingested by the user. |
