PURPOSE: An indoor unit for an airconditioner is provided to reduce a noise produced at the time of discharge of the air cooled by the heat exchanger and increase the air flow. CONSTITUTION: The indoor unit of the airconditioner comprises; an outer casing(3) to form an external look, a front cover(5) connected with the front of the outer casing(3), a suction inlet(7) to suck in room air and an outlet(8) to discharge a heat exchanged air; an evaporator installed at the lower part of the main body(1) to exchange heat with room air; a ventilating fan(13) installed in the upper area of the main body(1) to suck in and discharge room air.
